On March 4, 2009, Pastor Nuijens & his wife, Jean celebrated THIRTY years at Calvary Heights Baptist Church. The members of the church thought that to be a significant accomplishment in an occupation that averages between 3-5 years in one church. The members of the church wanted to express their gratitude by surprising the Nuijens with a special day of honor as well as presenting them with a get-a-way package during a well-earned Sabbatical rest for the upcoming summer (June 2009). March 1, 2009 was the Big Day of what was called, "The Big Give." The church surprised the Nuijens with special services & special guests as well as with a celebratory banquet.
